To help highlight Hillington Park's award of a Biodiversity Benchmark by The Wildlife Trusts, this issue saw us make the most of our limited photographic skills at a 6am appointment with the various flora and fauna around the estate.

Armed with our trusty Panasonic FZ-28, the promise of a coffee from Bocadillo, and the services of a large green plastic cape for camouflage, the forty damp minutes resulted in some excellent snaps of blue tits flitting in and out of the newly installed nest boxes at Hillington with tasty titbits for the little uns.

Not only did the shots feature in the Neodar-produced Hillington Herald newspaper, they've also been in great demand by MEPC for promotional activity around the estate.

Now we're the first to admit that our knowledge of the equine world doesn't usually extend beyond the covers of The Racing Post, but coming from a horse-mad household and following a very enjoyable David Urquhart trip to Badminton Horse Trials, with the world's best coach driver, Eric, we couldn't really turn down this cry for help.

Hillington Herald

Designed, produced and print-managed by Neodar this quarterly newspaper, the Hillington Herald, has hit the stands highlighting contrasting credit-crunch fates.

There was good news for Scotland's largest business park and industrial estate owners MEPC as vacant units fell to a 20-year low, despite the recession although, conversely, BT Openreach has deemed their prospective roll-out of superfast cable broadband services across the estate as "not economically viable".

MEPC's diodiversity action plan is also paying dividends with the re-introduction of native woodland species bringing in welcome visitors to Hillington Park including rare orchids and orange-tipped butterflies!

Hillintgon Herald February 2008

After the trials and tribulations of setting up the new office we were delighted to see MEPC continue using our services for the production of The Hillington Herald, the newspaper for Hillington Park, Scotland's largest Business Park. This takes our working relationship into its tenth year, long may it continue.

The February 2008 edition of this quarterly publication features a couple of articles close to our hearts on minimising waste in the workplace:

  1. Eliminate - avoid producing waste in the first place
  2. Reduce - minimise the amount of waste you produce
  3. Re-use - use items as many times as possible
  4. Recycle - recycle what you can only after you have re-used it
  5. Dispose - dispose of what's left in a responsible way

So pick up a copy (printed on 100% recycled stock) and do your bit for the environment,
topor better still eliminate waste and view online at MEPC's Hillington Park website here.
